Another instalment in the New Routes series, an evening of acoustic, folk and roots artists. Set out cabaret style with candles on tables, it’s a comfortable and intimate space to listen to the best emerging and established artists from the area. Featuring… Detta Kenzie Detta Kenzie is an indie-folk singer-songwriter blending English and Celtic folk influences with cinematic minimalism, subtle rock textures and leftfield pop. A former Secondary English teacher, her songwriting is marked by lyrical precision and emotionally rich storytelling, often exploring themes of transformation, survival and renewal. Performing alongside BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Sam Kelly and Isambard Award-winning guitarist Chris Cleverley, Detta has sold out headline shows at The Barrel House in Totnes and London’s iconic Water Rats. She has opened for Martin Simpson and Phil Beer. Her debut album of original material, Timekeeper , is currently in production with Sam Kelly. Dan Wilde Dan Wilde is a Lancashire-based singer-songwriter known for his richly observant songwriting and stunning, Fylde-endorsed guitar playing. Originally from Blackpool, his music has taken him on tours all over Europe and the US. He’s played at some of the biggest UK folk festivals including Beverley Folk Festival, Kendal Calling and Cambridge Folk Festival, as well as provided support for artists like Rick Astley, Ethan Johns, John Smith, Karine Polwart and Cara Dillon to name a few. After a successful run of three studio albums, Dan took a step back from touring to focus on producing and recording other artists whilst living in Cambridge. Now back in Lancashire, with his sonic instincts sharper than ever, he is returning to his own music. Dan is currently crafting his highly anticipated fourth release, with an album expected by the end of 2026.
