About This Event

The Parent carer POhWER Advocacy workshop is set for 20 October 2026 at Caring Together Charity in St. Ives. This informal session aims to enhance skills in advocating for children's needs and will include introductions and an advocacy workshop.

Join us for an informal session to boost your skills in standing up for your child’s needs and getting the support you deserve.

Arrival, sign in and refreshments.

Welcome and introductions.

Advocacy workshop delivered by POhWER - an advocacy, information and advice charity empowering people to have a voice and to make a real difference to their lives.

Introduction to 'young adult carers' delivered by Caring Together Charity.

Farewell / opportunities for one-to-one with Caring Together Charity and/or POhWER.

N.B. There is NO PARKING available at the Caring Together Charity office on Parsons Green (L D H House), however, Morrisons supermarket (PE27 4NB) is located next door and allows up to three hours free parking.

Lift access available.

Carers’ hubs and events are supported by Cambridgeshire County Council.
