About This Event

Tickets priced between £11.55 and £22.38 appear in the system data but relate to vendor fees instead of guest admission.

Our first harvest from Brandon Court. Come taste what we've grown, and help decide what we nurture next.

Divvy Days: Harvesting Our Community Dinner

Part of Together Culture's Divvy Days, celebrating The Kite's cooperative legacy

A hundred years ago, the Kite neighbourhood in Cambridge built an economy that paid you back. This October, we're growing one you can taste.

This is our first harvest from the Kite Nature Project, a shared plot at Brandon Court in a neighbourhood once known as the Garden of Eden. Come taste what we've grown, and help decide what we nurture next.

The old Kite didn't wait to be given a cooperative economy; it built one. 83,000 people once held a stake in a society that was community-owned and designed to give back to the people who shaped it. We're not here to remember that. We're here to do it again.

The Kite Nature Project is Together Culture's ten-year permaculture experiment: using the arrangements of flourishing ecosystems to think differently about how we organise our community and our economy. Right to food, community care, cooperation, beautification, harmony with life: not as heritage plaques, but as a working plan for a regenerative neighbourhood economy we build ourselves.

Come for the meal. Stay to help shape what we grow next.

This event is part of the Kite Festival: Divvy Days.

Funded by the Lottery Community Fund and Cambridge City Council.
