Presented by Dreamstone Productions In his last illness, Ollie would try so hard to communicate with Stan that tears rolled down his cheeks. This play imagines the conversations they might have had if Ollie could have spoken. The Lives and Death of Laurel and Hardy is a play about Laurel and Hardy in the style of Laurel and Hardy. It is also a play about coping with grief and the fight for artistic freedom. Looking back over the lives of this iconic pair, it expresses them as they might have chosen to express themselves—not always 100% reliably, but in ways that communicate loves and losses on a deeper level. It acknowledges what all masters of clowning know — that tragedy and comedy are never far from one another. Previous shows by Dreamsone Productions: Another Masterpiece!
