This is Cambridge Whisky Club's first beer pairing tasting. With our friends at Baron Brewing and The Handsome Prince we'll explore how beer and whisky affect each other with 3 whisky samples, each served up alongside a different beer. This event is open to everyone, but Cambridge Whisky Club members had an early warning some days before meetup.com, as did the mailing list subscribers, and instagram followers. Members also get a 10% discount on tickets (amongst other bonuses), so they're getting a good deal. Check out the perks and [sign up](https://cambridgewhiskyclub.co.uk/become-a-member/) now! **What is Cambridge Whisky Club?** Launched in March 2025, it's a rebranding of the events that were being organised around the city under the name of Elliott Drinks Whisky. With the new name (and logo) comes an optional membership scheme. When you buy a 1-year or 6-month membership, you get 10% discount on all the events we host at our HQ at Thirsty, at least 10% off whisky at the bar there too, and 20% off a ticket to [Cambridge Whisky Festival](https://cambridgewhiskyclub.co.uk/cambridgewhiskyfestival/), amongst other things. You can also sign up for our mailing list or Instagram if you want to stay connected. To learn more, head to the [Cambridge Whisky Club](https://cambridgewhiskyclub.co.uk/) website. **What is a guided whisky tasting?** All are welcome to attend the event, whether you consider yourself a whisky expert or haven’t explored it at all. The evening will start with an introduction to the theme or distillery. Then, for each whisky in turn, we'll explain why it's earned a place in the lineup, what is interesting about
