A winter Forest Bathing+ session | King’s Wood, Challock

Sunday 24 January 2026 · 10am–12pm

Bare branches against a pale sky. Tiny buds held tight on winter twigs. Soft moss beneath your fingertips. A new year, with room to breathe.

January can arrive with a long list of things to change, start and achieve. For these two hours, you can put the list down. Where nothing needs doing.

This is Forest Bathing+ with Ramblewood: a slow, guided experience that brings you out of the rush and into your senses.

We'll walk slowly and quietly, as I guide you through gentle sensory invitations, breathing and relaxation practices, with time to pause and notice what draws your attention. There’s no distance to cover and no pressure to make conversation.

Just a small group, a slower pace, and room to soften.

Forest bathing can help reduce stress and lift your mood. Research also suggests it may lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, ease heart rate and reduce blood pressure.

Here, you’ll have space to step away from everyday demands, settle into your senses and reconnect with the world around you.

What to expect

A slow, quiet wander through the winter woodland.

Guided invitations to explore through sight, sound, scent and touch.

Breathing and relaxation practices to help you unwind.

Moments of stillness, with space simply to be.

Simple ways to bring this closer connection with nature into everyday life.

Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is about spending unhurried time in the forest, connecting through your senses. Despite the name, you’ll stay fully clothed.

Start the year with a pause. Cold air on your cheeks, the scent of damp earth, and two hours with nothing to achieve.
