How concepts do activism: as worlds, aids, cells, and currents
What is conceptual activism, and what role can concepts themselves play in critical, prefigurative, campaigning and counter-institutional projects?
Drawing on interdisciplinary research, Professor Davina Cooper will explore conceptual activism through four figures: the aid, world, animate cell and current. The lecture considers how concepts are used, inhabited, experienced and felt, and how they can acquire different forms as they move between these figures.
