About This Event

Creativity Under Pressure: AI and the Future of Creative Work is a workshop set for 3 November 2026 at Tramshed Tech in Cardiff. The workshop will examine the influence of artificial intelligence on creative professionals.

This workshop explores the impact of AI on creative professionals. Mae'r gweithdy hwn yn trin a thrafod effaith deallusrwydd artiffisial.

As generative AI tools such as ChatGPT become embedded in creative work, they are not only transforming how things are made, but why they are made that way. In a context shaped by rising costs, tighter budgets, and pressure for efficiency, marketing teams and agencies are increasingly turning to AI to produce faster, cheaper outputs. But what does this shift mean for the people behind the work?

This interactive session held by Dr Amy Yau and external partner (Dr Sofia Christidi Lecturer – at University of South Wales) explores how creative professionals navigate evolving questions of creative identity, authorship, and ethics when co-creating with AI.

Drawing on a consumer culture theory lens examines how creativity is not just a skill, but a socially constructed and professionally defended identity. When speed, efficiency and cost savings are prioritised, does creativity become diluted, redefined, or redistributed between human and machine?

-------------------

Wrth i offer deallusrwydd artiffisial (DA) cynhyrchiol fel ChatGPT ddod yn rhan o waith creadigol, nid yn unig ydyn nhw’n trawsnewid y ffordd mae pethau'n cael eu gwneud, ond pam eu bod yn cael eu gwneud yn y ffordd honno. Mewn cyd-destun lle mae costau cynyddol, cyllidebau tynnach, a phwysau am effeithlonrwydd, mae timau ac asiantaethau marchnata yn troi fwyfwy at DA i gynhyrchu allbynnau cyflymach a rhatach. Ond beth mae'r newid hwn yn ei olygu i'r bobl y tu ôl i'r gwaith?

Mae'r sesiwn ryngweithiol hon a gynhelir gan Dr Amy Yau a phartner allanol (Dr Sofia Christidi, darlithydd ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru) yn mynd i’r afael â sut mae gweithwyr proffesiynol creadigol yn ymdopi â chwestiynau esblygol ynghylch hunaniaeth greadigol, awduraeth a moeseg wrth greu ar y cyd â DA.

Mae defnyddio lens theori diwylliant defnyddwyr, mae’r sesiwn hon yn ystyried sut nad sgil yn unig yw creadigrwydd, ond hunaniaeth a gaiff ei greu’n gymdeithasol a’i amddiffyn yn broffesiynol. Pan roddir blaenoriaeth i gyflymder, effeithlonrwydd ac arbed costau, a yw creadigrwydd yn cael ei wanhau, ei ailddiffinio, neu ei ailddosbarthu rhwng pobl a pheiriant?

Sylwer y bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn cael ei gyflwyno yn Saesneg.
