Digital Tools for Volunteer Management is a training course designed to assist volunteer managers in using digital tools for recruitment, retention, and management of volunteers. The course will cover various platforms and tools available to enhance volunteer program effectiveness.
This training will explore digital tools available to support volunteer managers with volunteer recruitment, retention and management.
This comprehensive training course has been designed by Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) to empower volunteer managers, coordinators, and anyone involved in the recruitment or day-to-day management of volunteers. In today’s digital-first world, leveraging technology can streamline your processes, enhance communication, and amplify the impact of your volunteer programs.
This course will provide you with hands-on knowledge of some tools and platforms currently on the market which can support volunteer management - including a brief introduction to AI for administrative efficiency, online brokerage platforms like Volunteering-Wales for volunteer recruitment, and digital marketing tools to boost engagement. By the end of the course, you will:
Be able to identify four (4) digital tools that can supportyour work
Be able to understand some of the risks and benefits presented by AI programmes.
Be able to explain the challenges and opportunities for engaging remote volunteers in your organisation.
Date: Thursday 19th November 2026
Time: 10 am – 12:30 pm
The training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre. Online participants will join the training via Microsoft Teams.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, well-resourced training, we have recently introduced a revised pricing structure for statutory and private sector attendees. This change enables us to sustain the standard of our programmes while continuing to offer free places to our members and to smaller third-sector organisations that depend on accessible learning opportunities.

• £75 half day / £145 full day
Public and private sector
• £95 half day / £175 full day
