Help shape a new Suicide Prevention Toolkit for Welsh universities. Share your views and help improve student support.

We are looking for Cardiff University students to take part in an important consultation that will help shape a new Higher Education Suicide Prevention Toolkit for universities across Wales.

The session will be facilitated by Area 43 as part of the MEDR-funded Higher Education Suicide Prevention Project. We want to hear from a diverse range of students about what helps students feel supported, how universities can respond effectively when someone is struggling, and what practical steps can make a difference in preventing suicide and promoting wellbeing.

No specialist knowledge or personal experience is required. We are interested in hearing a range of student perspectives and experiences.

Afternoon session starting at 1pm (2 hours)

Committee Room 2, Glamorgan Building, CF10 3WA

As a thank you for your time, all student participants will receive a £10 voucher and refreshments will be provided.

We particularly welcome participation from students across different programmes, levels of study, backgrounds and lived experiences to ensure a broad range of voices are represented.

Please note that this session will involve discussion of suicide prevention and student wellbeing. You are welcome to step out at any point, and information about support services will be available throughout the event.
