This engaging one-day event delves into the latest developments and practice in primary PE.

In light of recent government announcements, this year’s annual one day workshop is running earlier than usual to give your school a head start on planning and strategic preparation. The morning will explore the upcoming changes to the national landscape for Physical Education, school sport and physical activity including changes to funding, enrichment and a new sports partnership network. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to a more school level application. You will have time to review your school's current Physical Education provision and enrichment offer and walk away with a clear roadmap for adapting your curriculum to support the new proposed national frameworks. We encourage schools to bring their current curriculum planning and subject action plan to this course.

About the tutor: Vicky is a Senior Consultant for the Association for Physical Education (afPE) and a leading expert in primary physical education. With over a decade of published research and writing, she has contributed to numerous policy reviews and subject evaluations, including being part of the Department for Education (DfE) quality assurance group for the Primary Physical Education and School Sport Premium. Vicky works extensively with subject leaders and teacher educators across England, and is part of the drafting team for the 2028 Physical Education National Curriculum.
