All day tour for WIHS

Join Women in Health & Safety for a very special behind-the-scenes visit to Leeds Castle, exploring both the visitor experience and some of the areas normally hidden from public view.

There are only 12 tickets for this event

We’ll arrive at around 9am for tea, coffee and a short introduction before heading into the Castle. As well as touring the main rooms, we’ll get access to some of its more unusual behind-the-scenes spaces, including secret turrets, ancient Norman cellars and roof access areas rarely seen by visitors.

After the tour, we’ll return for lunch, followed by a talk about Leeds Castle’s two-year Health & Safety strategy and the particular challenges of managing a Grade I listed heritage property. From major events and weddings to infrastructure projects, conservation work and the day-to-day running of a major visitor attraction, there should be plenty to discuss.

After lunch we’ll head to the Fun Zone, with the opportunity to explore the maze and underground grotto, Adventure Golf and Birds of Prey Centre, before finishing with a walk through the gardens.

Tickets are £20, which includes lunch and a donation to Leeds Castle.

This will involve plenty of walking, including some less accessible behind-the-scenes areas, so stout shoes are strongly advised. Please also bring a raincoat – we won’t be able to guarantee Leeds Castle weather!
