Join USDD Networks for weekly youth Street Dance sessions designed for young people who want to improve their dance skills, develop confidence, express themselves and become part of a creative dance community. Whether you're completely new to dance, already attend classes or spend your time learning moves and freestyling at home, all abilities are welcome. What will you learn? USDD introduces young dancers to Street Dance and cultural dance styles, with training inspired by: Hip-Hop • Popping • Breaking • Afro Dance • Freestyle • Choreography Sessions can include foundations, technique, choreography, freestyle, musicality, creative challenges, performance training and developing your own movement style. At USDD, we don't just want young dancers to copy choreography. We want you to learn how to dance, understand the cultures behind the styles, become confident freestyling and gradually develop your own identity as a dancer. Who can join? Ages: 12–18 years Level: Beginners to experienced dancers Area: Medway / Chatham / Gillingham, Kent Programme: Weekly Street Dance training New students can book a £5 trial class to experience the programme before joining. More Than Dance USDD is about developing the person as well as the dancer. Through training, young people are encouraged to: Build confidence • Develop their own style • Improve technique • Freestyle • Be creative • Make friends • Challenge themselves As dancers progress, there can also be opportunities to participate in performances, showcases, battles, workshops, events and further USDD training opportunities. A place to train, create and belong USDD provides a space where teenagers can meet other young people interested in dance, music and creativity. You don't need to already consider yourself a "dancer" to join. Come ready to learn, train, experiment and express yourself.
