Another Beginners’ Warm Glass Workshop will be held at The Stables in Chelmsford on 18 October 2026. This workshop invites participants to learn glass-making techniques and create their own glass pieces. Ticket prices can be checked on the website.
Spend a fun day learning a new skill and make your own glass creations with Hylands Artist Mona Marnell. The day runs from 10.00am to 4pm and starts with Mona teaching you how to cut glass safely. She will explain the various ways you can use colour, texture and shape in warm glass and take you through designing to completing your work before it goes into the kiln for firing. Lunch is not provided, but our new café, the Deli, offers workshop attendees a 20% discount. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron as working with glass is fun but messy. Parking is free as you are attending a workshop. Just bring your car registration to the studio on the day and Mona will get you put on the system for free.
