About This Event

Consort of 1: Eya! Novus annus est will take place at Saint Andrew's, Marks Tey, on 10 January 2027. The event will feature live-looping Medieval minstrel Lizzie Gutteridge, celebrating the New Year in a Medieval style. Tickets are priced between £11.00 and £16.00.

Welcome the New Year, Medieval style, with lively live-looping Medieval minstrel Lizzie Gutteridge

Consort of 1 is Lizzie Gutteridge's live-looping early music project, using modern technology to give ancient melodies the lightest of modern make overs. A one-woman band using a wide range of historical instruments from aulos to bagpipes, medieval fiddles, shawms and recorders, and performing music from the 1st century AD onwards.

In this programme we'll celebrate the arrival of the New Year together with beautiful and upbeat melodies from the distant past.

Refreshments will be served after the concert, with donations to church funds
