Bring an old pair of jeans, denim jacket, t-shirt, dress, cushion cover, or whatever you like, to explore with Associate Artist Katie how to improve, reuse and recycle fabric using printing techniques.
During this workshop:
> Create an upcycled item that's totally unique to you
> Explore screen printing techniques using hand-cut paper stencils as well as pre-made screens to design and then create prints
> Learn new design and making skills to use in the future
> Gain knowledge of the basic principles of screen printing
No previous experience necessary. Also suitable for non-beginners.
About the Associate Artist leading the session: Katie is a graphic designer and workshop artist, running her own design business alongside delivering art, design and architecture workshops with museums, galleries, schools and festivals across the UK. Katie is inspired by all kinds of things; architecture, nature, street art, great design...
