About This Event

The Half Term Sewing Club for ages 8–11 and 12-16 is planned for 29 October 2026 at Resorts World Birmingham, Studio 36. The event will provide hands-on sewing sessions, focusing on hand sewing and simple sewing machine skills. The ticket price is £13.70.

Engaging hands-on sewing sessions to learn hand sewing, + simple sewing machine usage for older kids

Half-term Sewing Club is a creative and fun workshop for children aged 8–11 (AM), and 12 -16 (PM) to help reduce screen time, foster social interaction in a creative setting, and promote good mental health through making.

Kids aged between 8 and 11 will cut-out, hand sew and embellish a super cute purse based on a seasonal themed character. Each child will have up to 90-minutes to create and learn, and will leave with their own purse they’ve made themselves—perfect for building confidence and skills while having fun. Chose the AM tickets for this mini project.

Older kids aged between 12 and 16 will make a zipped pouch perfect for storing jewellery, art pens, or perhaps toiletries. This will involve hand sewing and machine sewing. Chose the PM tickets for this mini project.

Thursday 29th October

AM group (8 to 11 year olds) starts at 11.30

PM group (12 to 16 year olds) starts at 1.30

Class size

6 places per session - AM and PM (small group, lots of guidance)
