We're hosting an open day at Aurora Ryefields School for parents and carers.

Why Aurora Ryefields School?

Aurora Ryefields School is a specialist school in Derby dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for children and young people aged 5 to19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or additional Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We cater to a wide range of needs across the ASC spectrum, including students with co-occurring conditions such as sensory processing difficulties and/or additional social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our mission is to empower students to develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to lead fulfilling lives and actively participate in their communities.

If you are interested in finding out more, we are holding an Open Event on Monday, 5 October 2026 for parents and carers at Aurora Ryefields School, 80 Parker Street, Derby DE1 3HF. You will have the opportunity to meet the Headteacher, ask questions, and take a tour of the school.

We aim to make our open day as accessible as possible for all visitors. If you or your child has any mobility requirements or would benefit from adjustments to the tour, please let us know when booking. Please note that the tour covers all 3 floors of the school building. If the use of our lifts, or an accessible parking space is required, please specify this on the form so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Placements are now open for Reception to Year 9.
