Explore Kedleston Hall’s How Did We Get Here? exhibition:talks, tours & insights on co-creation, collections, access, evaluation & audiences

About this event

Join us at Kedleston Hall for a special sharing day exploring How Did We Get Here?, an exhibition running from 14 February to 27 September 2026 that brings together Tibetan artefacts from the Kedleston collection alongside Encounters, a new film by British-Tibetan artist Nyima Murry.

Through presentations, tours, discussion and reflection, the project team will share insights into the development of the exhibition and the collaborative approaches taken throughout the process. Delegates will hear about working with community partners, interpretation and visitor experience, cultural collections care, evaluation, accessibility considerations and approaches to reaching new audiences.

This event provides an opportunity to explore how museums and heritage organisations can engage with complex histories, develop community-led interpretation and create spaces for dialogue around collections and their histories.
