Hear from delegates from Indigenous communities in the US, explore shared struggles for justice and equality.
The Bloody Sunday Trust is delighted to welcome a delegation from Indigenous communities in the United States to Derry from 7-13 September 2026 as part of Derry Peace and Conflict International.
There are strong connections between the experiences of Irish people and Indigenous peoples in the United States, including the impact of colonisation, displacement and attempts to suppress culture, identity and history.
The visit provides an opportunity to build on these connections, share experiences and learn from each other’s struggles for justice, equality and self-determination.
As part of the week, we are holding a public meeting where you can hear directly from members of the delegation and take part in a discussion about international solidarity.
International speakers to be confirmed. Everyone welcome.
