AI for BusinessPractical AI training for Kent's small business community
AI is everywhere. But what does it actually mean for your business?
You've probably heard plenty about artificial intelligence.
Some of it sounds exciting. Some of it sounds worrying. And much of it is buried beneath technical jargon and extravagant promises.
So where do you start?
Join Nick Pollard, Managing Director of Harmony House Technology, for a friendly, practical three-hour workshop designed specifically for small business owners.
We'll explore what AI can and cannot do, look at everyday business applications and help you get started using some of the tools yourself.
You don't need any technical experience.
Just bring your laptop, a little curiosity and perhaps a few business challenges you'd like to explore.
Three hours. Ten people. Real business examples.
No jargon. No hype. Just useful knowledge.
What will we cover?
Understanding AI
What is artificial intelligence, and how does it work?
We'll explain the basics, introduce popular AI tools and discuss what they're good at, where they struggle and why you shouldn't always believe their answers.
Getting started
We'll show you how to start using AI, ask better questions and get more useful results.
You'll learn why context matters, how to write effective prompts and how to recognise when AI has misunderstood you.
Putting AI to work
We'll explore everyday business applications, including:
Writing and improving business communications.
Preparing quotations and proposals.
Researching products, markets and competitors.
Marketing and social media.
Understanding documents and spreadsheets.
Planning projects and organising information.
Exploring ways to simplify repetitive tasks.
You'll have the opportunity to try these tools yourself and apply them to your own business.
Using AI responsibly
AI isn't perfect, and it raises important questions.
We'll discuss accuracy, privacy, confidential information, copyright and the wider impact of AI.
You'll learn when to question the results and why human judgement still matters.
Your next steps
By the end of the workshop, you'll have practical experience using AI and a clearer idea of where it might be useful in your business.
You won't leave as an AI expert. That's not the point.
You'll leave knowing how to get started.
Your AI Business Toolkit is included
Your learning doesn't stop when the workshop finishes.
Every delegate receives the Harmony House AI Business Toolkit, a practical digital handbook designed to help you continue using what you've learnt.
The toolkit includes:
Reusable prompts for everyday business tasks.
Practical AI use cases across different business functions.
Guidance on choosing different AI tools.
Advice on context, accuracy and avoiding common mistakes.
Responsible AI guidance for business owners.
Templates for introducing AI into your business.
A practical 30-day action plan.
The toolkit is normally priced at £39 and is included with your workshop at no additional charge.
We'll send you a download link after you've attended.

Managing Director, Harmony House Technology
Nick is a Kent-based business owner with more than 20 years of experience working in technology, data and information management.
As Managing Director of Harmony House Technology, he works with enterprise technology partners and organisations across international markets.
But he's also a small business owner himself.
He understands the everyday challenges of running a business and the difficulty of finding time to explore new technology.
These workshops are his way of sharing practical experience with fellow business owners in the local community.
The approach is straightforward: explain things clearly, demonstrate how they work and give everyone the chance to try them.

Why only ten people?
We deliberately keep our workshops small.
That means there's time to ask questions, work through practical examples and get help when you need it.
This isn't a lecture where you spend three hours watching somebody else use technology.
It's a hands-on session where you get involved.
Curious? Come and find out.
You don't have to be convinced about AI to attend.
You might be enthusiastic, sceptical or simply wondering what all the fuss is about.
All are welcome.
Our aim is to help you understand the technology, explore its practical uses and decide what place, if any, it should have in your business.
We look forward to welcoming you.
