A fun, free family workshop for families to make colourful jellyfish and swirling sea ribbon whirlers!

FREE FAMILY DROP-IN WORKSHOP

We’ll be celebrating 100 years since Gertrude Ederle became the first woman to swim the English Channel, with creative activities for children and their grown-ups.

Make a Jellyfish for the Parade

Create your own colourful jellyfish ready to join a special seafront parade celebrating Gertrude Ederle and her incredible Channel swim. (The parade is on Monday 31st Aug at 3:35pm).

Make a Sea Ribbon Whirler to take home

Perfect for little hands! Choose from colourful scrap fabrics, ribbons and reused materials to make a sea whirler to take home. Take it outside to run, spin and dance as the ribbons move like waves in the sea.

Alongside Jellies and Whirlers, Artlings on the Curve will also provide a safe space for families to hangout with a creative, cozy and shaded area, with Music on the Curve bringing the vibes!

Free family drop-in workshop info:

-Marina Curve, Dover Seafront

-Drop in between 12pm-4pm. Last call on Jellyfish makes at 3:30pm.

-Children must be accompanied by a grown-up.

Come along, get making and help us fill the seafront with jellyfish, colour and swirling waves.
