Experience an unmatched evening of premium Irish spirits and award-winning Dublin hospitality. Join us on Monday, August 31st, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM for an exclusive, intimate whiskey-tasting event hosted in the legendary bespoke whiskey bar at Searsons of Baggot Street.

As the crowned National Whiskey Bar of the Year 2024 and Dublin’s Best Food Pub 2025, Searsons is the ultimate destination for whiskey enthusiasts. This special collaboration brings together the historic Dublin 4 pub with the craft innovators at Glendalough Distillery for a masterclass guided by their pioneering Head Distiller, Ciaran "Rowdy" Rooney.

The Glendalough Tasting Lineup

Under Rowdy's expert guidance, guests will explore the deep flavors, innovative cask finishes, and distinct forest maturations that define Glendalough's progressive approach to Irish whiskey:

Glendalough Double Barrel: Aged in American Bourbon and finished in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks.

Glendalough Single Pot Still: A beautifully spice-forward pour matured in Irish oak casks sustainably harvested from the mountains surrounding the distillery.

Glendalough 7-Year-Old Single Malt (Mizunara Finish): A rare and luxurious malt finished in exceptionally scarce Japanese Mizunara oak.

The Distiller's Special: A surprise, exclusive pour chosen directly from the archives by Ciaran Rooney to close out the tasting.

To complement these exceptional whiskeys, enjoy artisan canapés and gourmet finger food freshly prepared by Searsons’ award-winning kitchen team.
