A powerful documentary examining the events of May 14, 1974, uncovering a story of violence, loss and the human cost of political conflict.

On May 17th 1974, three bombs exploded in Dublin City Centre killing 27 people and injuring 258. Later that evening a bomb in Monaghan Town killed 7 more innocent people.

However, after 12 weeks, investigations were closed down and inquests into the Dublin casualties were never completed. In 1993 the Ulster Volunteer Force claimed sole responsibility for the atrocities, but many families and survivors believe that the British Military were involved.

May-17-74: Anatomy of a Massacre gives voice to members of Justice For The Forgotten, who have been led by Margaret Urwin and have campaigned for truth and justice for over five decades. This is a special screening in honour of Margaret as she retires this year after 33 years of dedicated campaigning for the families and survivors.

The film is directed by Joe Lee and produced by Fergus Dowd the same award winning team from 406-days The Debenhams Strike and The Charlie O'Leary Story.

Screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Fergus Dowd, Joe Lee and members of Justice For The Forgotten.
