During this event you’ll taste together with a qualified WSET3 presenter range of Natural wines from South Tenerife (one of its highest villages Vilaflor circa 1200m above the sea level).
Bodega Vento and its founder and oenologist Damian Díaz producing wines from organically cultivated vineyards. They use ambient yeast, spontaneous fermentation and only small amount of sulphites in reds and no added sulphites in whites and orange.
When we ran similar tasting in Spain early in 2024 we called it "Un Vino Natural que No Huele Mal" (“A Natural Wine that Doesn't Smell Bad") as indeed, his wines present clear aromas with no defects of any king that often sold to the consumer as so called "natural aromas". So let break that myth together that natural wines always smell weird. Shall we?
