New Dublin Voices are delighted to announce their pre-tour send-off concert on October 18 in DCU's All Hallows Chapel, after which New Dublin Voices and conductor Bernie Sherlock will travel to Poland, Latvia and Lithuania for a series of concerts and embassy engagements in Warsaw, Riga, Kaunas and Vilnius.
The tour is part of Cultúr 2026: Sharing Ireland’s Culture – the official culture programme of Ireland's EU Presidency – and is generously supported by Culture Ireland.
The choir will premiere Seán Doherty’s James Joyce setting ‘I Hear an Army’ alongside his motet ‘Peperit Virgo’. In a mixed and colourful programme the choir will also present works by Cecelia McDowall, Nana Forte, Emil Råberg, Max Reger, Daniel Knaggs, and Torbjørn Dyrud.
Cultúr 2026 celebrates the wealth of talent among Irish artists today, aiming to share this richness with audiences in Ireland and Europe. Featuring exhibitions, concerts, talks, performances and events that represent myriad artforms, the programme will unfold throughout Ireland and across all 27 EU member states and beyond, for the duration of the Presidency.
