The James Joyce Centre and The Write Stuff are delighted to present our final collaboration with Dublin by Dusk on Thursday, 29 October at 7pm . In partnership with the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, Fáilte Ireland, Dublin City Council, and Dublin Town. The Write Stuff are gatherings in collaborative storytelling, poetry & music. Curated & hosted by Dublin writer Steve O’Toole. At each gathering, storytellers, and poets, are joined by showcase musicians, working to a pre-agreed theme. Thus, delivering a continuous, collaborative flow of original work. Tickets are €12.50. Colm Gavin Beo Records president Tim Jarvis describes Dublin singer/songwriter Colm as “one of the most significant songwriters of his generation.” Colm has toured extensively across Europe and the United States with his releases reaching the top of Contemporary Charts in over 30 Countries including Ireland, England, Italy, Australia, Denmark & Japan. Dermott Hayes Dermott is an author, poet, journalist and filmmaker. Lectured in NCAD, 1977/79, BA in History & Politics. Tutored in UCD Politics. Author of postgraduate EU study on Parliamentary Committee Systems. His work has been published in Press Group , Irish Times , Cork Examiner , Evening Echo , Daily Mirror , The Sun , Daily Mail, Rolling Stone , Q Magazine , Select , MOJO , and Evening Herald . The Vagabond Queen Dragging spoken word straight out of its skin, The Vagabond Queen is the sonic embodiment of a one woman revolt – collapsing her performance art into a seductive assault to the senses.
