Sharron works in Dunfermline Carnegie Library and says that her current role as Local Studies Supervisor feels more like a hobby than a job!
Her love of social history led her to start researching the libraries funded by Andrew Carnegie – he gave money towards over 2,500 libraries worldwide.
There were 147 built in Scotland, many of which are still in use today – including our lovely Blackness Library, where Sharron will be talking about Andrew Carnegie’s life and legacy.
