Join illustrator Laura Darling for a drawing class with a theatrical twist.

Based in Dundee's charming Little Theatre (https://dundeeds.co.uk/facilities/), you will create a series of drawings exploring the venue from the perspective of the audience and the performers. (Don't worry, you won't be asked to act!)

What to expect

Illustrator Laura Darling (https://www.darlingbyname.com/) will guide you through a series of exercises aimed at loosening up your drawing, sharing tips and techniques throughout the class. The stage will be set up for the upcoming show The Real Inspector Hound, creating fantastic opportunities for narrative drawing.

The session finishes at 8pm, with the bar open until 9pm. This time is a great chance to ask any questions you have about illustration, drawing, or just enjoy a drink and a chat on a Friday evening.

What to bring

A sketchbook and something to draw with. There will be a selection of additional materials to try.

Suitable for all abilities. Whether you draw regularly or haven't picked up a pencil in years, Laura will support you to bring out your unique visual language.

Encore!

As an added bonus, you are invited to attend the dress rehearsal of The Real Inspector Hound on Monday 23rd November. You are welcome to bring a sketchbook and draw the action taking place, or simply enjoy the show! This event is free to attend.
