A free Halloween family learning day exploring the art of prosthetics and special effects make-up for film and TV.

Ever wondered how your favourite horror characters come to life on screen? This Halloween, find out.

Get On Set: Family Edition with a special Halloween prosthetics workshop — giving families a hands-on introduction to the art of prosthetics and special effects make-up for film and TV, led by Crew Gal tutor Vicky Sandison.

Delivered by Crew Gal Creative House and funded through the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority, this is a free, practical family learning day with a spooky twist. From monster transformations to cinematic special effects — this is the craft behind some of the most iconic looks in film and TV history, and today you're going to try it for yourself.

No experience needed. No industry knowledge required. Just bring your family and come ready to get creative.
