About This Event

Summer of Play: Axe throwing with B Outdoors takes place on 28 August 2026 at Crook Hall Gardens in Durham from 10:00. Participants can practice technique and accuracy using axes under supervision. Admission is required.

Pick up an axe and give it a try, just like the Vikings of Northumbria. Practice your technique, accuracy, and strength. Whether this is your first time or you’ve tried it before, you’ll feel the rush of excitement when your axe hits the target.

You’ll join a small group and take turns during your 30-minute session. Please arrive early so you’re ready to start on time.

This activity is for anyone aged 11 and over. Please follow the dress code below. Everyone will need to sign a consent form before starting.

Please book your spot in advance. The cost is £5 per participant. Spectators and supervising adults don’t need a ticket, but regular admission fees still apply.
