Join us for a creative afternoon workshop with artist Paul Thompson of Interface Arts.
There are no right or wrong ways to draw. In this workshop, Paul will share his tips on what makes a successful drawing, guiding participants through various techniques of composition and selective focus.
Participants are asked to bring a reference image that they wish to draw. This might be a photograph, a picture from a magazine or other source. Paul will guide you through making the creative decisions for making a successful interpretation of your chosen image.
The workshop is suitable for 18+ only.
All materials and tools are provided. No experience necessary.
£6.50 per person
About the artist
After a long career in the graphics industry, Paul trained in photography and later graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts
Paul is now a multidisciplinary artist, often working across a range of mediums including painting, photography, and digital manipulation. His interests are broad, with a particular focus on physics, especially particle physics. Through his work, he seeks to express and explore the unseen universe and how these scientific concepts interact with everyday life.
Paul is a member of Interface Arts, a County Durham-based collective of artists. You can find out more here.
