About This Event

A creative writing and exploration walk titled Edgar’s Tale will be held on 15 August 2026 at The Beachy Head in Eastbourne. The event starts at 09:30 and is free to attend. It centres on the ancestry and farming history of an ancient farm near Beachy Head.

Exploration and Creative Writing Walk Around an Ancient Farm near Beachy Head

Join us for a circular walk from the Beachy Head Pub out into the ancient landscape of the farmed headland, we’ll pass through the valleys and over the hills of Bullock Down Farm, considering personal and landscape ancestry. We’ll notice where ancient people have left their mark in the land, consider what they left in the soils, taking a few pauses to reflect and write before returning via some prehistoric landmarks to the modern pub. This is a creative writing session, please bring a pen and notepad with you.
