About This Event

Scything Day at Seven Sisters Country Park Visitor Centre is set for 5 September 2026 at 9am. Ranger Lawrence will lead a session on traditional meadow management using scythes. The event is free to attend.

Join Ranger Lawrence for a day of traditional meadow management with Scythes.

We will be spending the day cutting and collecting coarse grass from our wildflower meadows.

This is a great opportunity to support our work to enhance biodiversity at Seven Sisters Country Park, as well as a chance to practice a traditional skill.

Sycthes are fun, simple and effective to use and allow us to manage sensitive areas without heavy machinery.

We look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful site and working together with the land.
