This event will offer a guided walk from Beachy Head while incorporating poetry into the experience. Entry to this session will be free.
Start your day with fresh air, beautiful views and a little poetry.
Join poet Jane Midwinter, from Eastbourne LitFest, and the Beachy Head Ambassadors for a relaxed guided walk from Beachy Head to the Dew Pond and back.
Meeting point: Outside the Beachy Head Pub. Look for the Beachy Head Ambassadors in bright green polos and navy jackets.
Along the way we’ll pause to enjoy the landscape, share a selection of poems and, for those who would like to, spend a little time writing or simply reflecting in this peaceful setting.
No previous writing experience is needed and there is no pressure to write – you’re equally welcome to simply listen, enjoy the walk and soak up the atmosphere.
We’ll return to Cadence Café, where participants are welcome to stay and purchase breakfast or a hot drink before continuing with their day.
Whether you’re a regular walker, a poetry lover, or simply looking for a calm and inspiring start to your morning, we’d love you to join us.
This is a free event with a maximum of 10 places. Booking is essential.
What to bring: Bring a notebook and pen to write your ideas! Please wear suitable walking footwear, dress for the weather and bring water. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads.
If you find you can no longer attend, please cancel your Eventbrite booking so someone else can take your place. In the event of bad weather, we'll contact participants beforehand if the walk needs to be cancelled.
