In this hands-on heritage workshop, you’ll: • Craft your own herbal bath salts inspired by vintage apothecary blends. • Assemble fragrant mulled wine sachets, perfect for gifting or warming your own winter evenings. • Create a traditional mistletoe kissing bough, bringing timeless charm (and perhaps a little romance) to your home. As you craft, enjoy non-alcoholic warm mulled wine and mince pies, with music from the roaring 20s evoking the elegance and cheer of the flapper era, with nods to the castle’s festive past from the 1590s onward. Leave with your handmade creations, a sense of history, and the glow of old-fashioned holiday spirit. The Historical Herbalists CIC portray traditional healers and medical herbalists from the Romans to the Renaissance, the Medieval to the Modern era. Dressed in traditional clothing of the era we bring life to the role of the historical wise woman and educate about the history of medicine.
