The Otis family move to England and into an old mansion house, Canterville Chase, despite warnings from the owner that the house is haunted. Almost straight away strange events begin to occur, and Virginia, the eldest Otis daughter comes face to face with the ghost of Sir Simon de Canterville, a nobleman suspected of killing his wife several hundred years ago.
