A relaxed photo walk… with a mission!

Put on your walking shoes and join this informal and creative exploration of the wonderful waterways and woodlands on the edge of South Queensferry, clearing the path of litter along the way.

Led by local visual artist and photographer Christina Webber (a South Queensferry resident since 2023), the group will walk from South Queensferry to the edge of the Hopetoun estate and back again, photographing the beautiful views along the way, as well as any flora or fauna discovered en route. We all need more opportunities to get outside!

For this photo walk all camera types and skill levels are welcome. This is a perfect way for newcomers to the area or weekday work-from-homers to meet people and pay attention to the landscape, with some fun photo prompts provided along the way. If anyone attending does not want to be included in photographic documentation of the event, please let Christina know at the beginning of the session.

Christina, as the host, will lead litter picking, but participants are more than welcome to join in if they'd like. There will be plenty of breaks along the way for snacks and a flask of tea/coffee if you would like to bring one.

Meeting point is beneath the Forth Road Bridge, at the end of Farquhar Terrace (where it connects with Bo'ness Road). The walk is just under a 5-mile loop, returning to the meeting point for 6PM. We will be walking on and off for the duration - come rain or shine - without amenities along the way. Please prepare accordingly.
