From Mary Oliver's conversations with rain and Amanda Thomson's sixty-two words for rainy weather, to John Muir and Elif Shafak's histories of a single raindrop, rain has many voices. Join The Nature Library for a creative workshop exploring these voices and celebrate this weather phenomenon.
Suitable for all ages. No experience necessary.
About the facilitator
Christina Riley is based in Ayrshire. Her work, focused on coastal waters, draws attention to small details. Her debut book, ‘Looking Down at the Stars: Life Beneath the Waves’, was longlisted for Canongate’s Nan Shepherd Prize for Nature Writing.
Created in 2019, The Nature Library began as a roving collection of books popping up in public spaces across Scotland. The Nature Library shares stories which put the endless wonders and curiosities of the natural world on the page.
