About This Event

Dancing Shoes runs on 30 September 2026 at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh with tickets priced between £2.50 and £22. The play examines how a friendship changes the life of a character shaped by addiction and isolation.

Donny’s life has been shaped by addiction and isolation, but an unexpected friendship with Jay and Craig begins to change everything. When videos of Donny’s private dancing routines suddenly go viral, newfound attention threatens the bond they have built. A joyful and deeply moving story about connection, recovery and the courage to let yourself be seen. This will be a special stripped-back version of the hit show, reimagined for Shedinburgh in partnership with Traverse Theatre.
