The Edinburgh Song Session is an open group which meets each month, sharing songs mainly from the Scottish traditional background but with all other genres welcome. It's a laid-back afternoon with people taking turns to sing or lead a song, or sometimes give a tune, poem or short story. The November meet-up each year is held jointly with the local branch of the Traditional Music and Song Association (TMSA) and often features songs by Hamish Henderson or marking Armistice Day. Visitors are encouraged whether singers or listeners! This event is part of the Carrying Stream Festival.
