Get ready to stir up some autumn magic! Join us for a hands-on chutney and ketchup making workshop that celebrates the rich flavours of autumn’s harvest! Whether you’re a total beginner or just curious to try something new, this fun and interactive session will have you chopping, stirring, and tasting your way to delicious homemade preserves. Discover how to transform seasonal fruit, herbs and veg into delicious preserves that will brighten up your winter meals. You’ll learn two fantastic, flexible recipes: Squash & apple chutney Smoky tomato ketchup We’ll discuss a range of ways you can easily adapt the recipes at home using whatever’s in season. The ingredients we use may vary depending on seasonal availability. At our outdoor cooking stations, we’ll explore: The best ingredients for preserving Creative ways to mix herbs, fruits, and veggies Tips and tricks for making your own signature chutneys and ketchups. There’ll be plenty of time to taste, chat, and share ideas. You’ll leave with jars of your own creations, a head full of inspiration, and the confidence to keep experimenting in your own kitchen. Don’t forget to bring two jars with lids to take your tasty creations home! Booking Information Full price: £45 Greener Kirkcaldy members/volunteers: £40.50 Concessions*: £36 *Greener Kirkcaldy is committed to accessibility and we offer a concession rate to people in receipt of the following benefits: Students (full time), Senior Citizens (65+), eligible benefits (Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Income based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income based Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit). We also offer a free basic community cooking skills and household budgeting programme to help people on a low income cook healthy and affordable meals: Smart Cooking Our booking form includes a series of optional anonymous questions. These help us learn more about the people we reach through our events. Any information you choose to share about your background is managed separately to information that you give us to process your booking (for example, your name). If you have any problems booking or any questions, please phone 01592 858458 or email info@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk . Refund policy – We can refund your order up until 7 days before the event. If you cancel your order less than 7 days before the event we will be unable to provide a refund. Accessibility There are accessible parking spaces on site. Please note the terrain is mostly flat and the paths are gravel. The venue is outdoors with the exception of the working cabin.
