* We will meet at the Morningside Clock and proceed up Braid Road, entering the Hermitage at the Braid Road entrance (next to The Lodge Coffee House). * Near the entrance, we will make a short ascent onto the Braid Golf Course. (We walk beside the golf course). * We will follow the grassy path & then make a short descent, before reaching a small wooden bridge which crosses the burn. * We will then turn left and walk alongside the burn until we reach the Braid Road entrance. * After the walk we will retire to The Hermitage Bar, 1-5 Comiston Road for a much needed refreshment. ***Getting to the Morningside Clock:*** I will meet you at the Morningside Clock, 271 Morningside Road, EH10 4RW 🚙: There is free parking on the streets off Morningside Road near the clock. 🚌: The 11, 16, & 36 stop near the clock. ***EXTRAS*** * Length - 1.5 to 2 hours long. * Terrain - mud / grass / gravel. * Break: Bring a snack & a drink, as we'll stop for a brief comfort break at the picnic area near the public toilets. * Attire: Wear sturdy footwear & wrap up well as although sunny it is going to be a bitterly cold day. * Telephone: 07401 378 622
