Join us for an afternoon crafting beautiful little lanterns at the Drill Hall followed by a guided singing parade to the Orchard! ✨ Alva and Hannah will spend a few hours with you making upcycled lanterns with jam jars and colourful tissue paper. Community singing leader Jane Lewis will bring us songs to learn and sing together. Inspired by the German autumn tradition of St. Martin's Day we will then light up our lanterns and sing songs while we walk to Orchard. 🏮✨All materials are provided. The event is suitable for adults and children (must be attended by a guardian). ✨ Feel free to join only for singing and lantern parade from 5-6pm (Starting at the Drill Hall, walking to the Leith Links Children’s Orchard). If you are joining for this part only no reservation is required! Just meet us outside the Drill Hall at 5pm. ✨Please let us know asap if you cannot attend the craft part of the evening anymore so we can free up your slot for someone else. We’re excited to craft and parade with you all 💫 The booking fee helps us cover a part of the venue hire costs, however if this fee would stop you from attending please email alva@leithcommunitygrowers.com and we will provide you a free ticket, no questions or proof of low funds asked.
