Coordinated by Edinburgh Open Workshop, the Trail runs from Friday 27 November to Sunday 13 December, inviting visitors to explore the neighbourhood's thriving creative scene through open studios, exhibitions, markets, workshops and special events. Now in its fifth year, LCT has grown into a much-loved celebration of the area's creative community. From independent studios and galleries to workshops and hidden creative spaces, it offers a chance to discover the people, places and ideas that make Leith such a distinctive and vibrant part of Edinburgh. With more venues taking part than ever before,visitors can meet local artists and makers, see behind the scenes of their creative practices and discover an extraordinary range of work, from ceramics, textiles and jewellery to printmaking, furniture and original artworks. As the festive season approaches, the Trail also offers an alternative to the high street, with opportunities to find unique, handmade gifts while supporting local artists, makers and independent businesses. Edinburgh Open Workshop will be joining the celebrations with two Saturdays of festive making. On Saturday 28 November, families can enjoy free, hands-on creative sessions, while Saturday 12 December will see a programme of adult workshops offering the chance to learn new skills and make something special for the festive season. Whether you're a Leith local, a regular visitor or discovering the area for the first time, Leith Creative Trail is an invitation to explore somewhere new, meet the people behind the work and experience the creativity happening across the neighbourhood. To help visitors plan their route, a specially designed trail map and directory by Zoe Brown will highlight all 33 participating venues. Printed copies will be available at venues along the Trail, with a downloadable version available from the Edinburgh Open Workshop website.
