Anupa Gardner will lead a half-day lino printing workshop at Birchwood Art Studio in Edinburgh on 24 October 2026 at 15:30. The session is taught by an experienced artist and tutor from Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Printmakers.
Join Anupa (an experienced tutor and artist who teaches at Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Printmakers) for this half day workshop in which participants will explore different ways of mark making on easy-cut or traditional lino with the help of gouges to carve your blocks. You will be working with A5 blocks and will be shown a simple registration method. You will be shown how to use the lino cutting gouges, transfer images onto blocks, and handprint using barens or spoons on different coloured paper. Bring a sketch or a simple digital printout (max size A5) or use one of our many resource prints! All materials and refreshments are provided.
