Literary Escape Festival – Edinburgh Taking place at Ps & Gs Church, this independent book festival brings together a fantastic line-up of independent authors, creative makers and small businesses for a day celebrating books, creativity and all things independent. Meet authors, browse and buy books directly from the people who wrote them, discover your next favourite read and explore a brilliant selection of handmade gifts, bookish treasures and unique creations from creative makers. There’s also a special programme of author talks and Q&As throughout the day, with Caroline Young, Alex Howard, Naomi Johnson and Catriona Silvey. The sessions will be hosted by Laura Barnet from The Secret Book Swap. Our sponsor, The Book Whisperers, will also be there on the day, along with our charity partner Streetreads, who will be sharing more about their work. Whether you’re a lifelong bookworm, looking for your next great read, or simply love supporting independent creators, there’s plenty to discover. Come along and celebrate one year of Literary Escape Festival in the city where it all began, with authors, readers, makers, talks, Q&As and plenty of bookish discoveries!
