Join us for the launch of our new exhibition about the history of migration and nursing. Enjoy free refreshments and a chance to look around the exhibition, alongside activities. Join chair Professor Pam Smith, RCN Fellow, for a series of talks exploring historical and contemporary migration including hearing from Dr Radha Adhikari, Lecturer in University of the West of Scotland, on contemporary international nurse migration of Nepali nurses. We will also be showing the short film, 'Khichdi' which traces the interwoven histories of four First-Generation Indian women who live in the UK and have been working for the NHS since the early 2000s. Set around a dinner table, the film foregrounds the stories of the director’s mother and aunties who reunite over a shared meal to reminisce upon their decades-long friendship and careers. This event is open to all.
