Award winning guitarist and composer Graeme Stephen performs his score to a screening of the iconic Nosferatu.

Award winning guitarist and composer Graeme Stephen has been breathing new life into classic early cinema with his Silent Film Scores and performs his live score to a screening of the silent film classic - Nosferatu.

Nosferatu is the mother of all modern vampire films and provides rich source material for Graeme Stephens composition. By director F.W Murnau, the film has gained legendary status since it’s creation in 1922.

"Graeme Stephen has absorbed a whole range of influences from the classic pre-bop of Charlie Christian through to contemporary icons like Bill Frisell but is finding his own way to make use of that legacy." (The Scotsman)

"The frightful shadow of the vampire slides up a staircase to the reverberating strains of electric guitar ... The grainy images flickering on screen are vintage, but the musical accompaniment is as contemporary as you can get: welcome to the world of guitarist Graeme Stephen, a widely respected guitarist on the Scottish jazz scene who in recent years has been turning his compositional talents to “live” scores’– The Scotsman
