NCBI Identity Workshop: Edinburgh
Join us for a transformative two-day workshop on identity with the National Coalition-Building Institute (NCBI). This powerful event will take place at North Edinburgh Arts, 12C MacMillan Square, Edinburgh EH4 4AB.
Led by NCBI Chief Executive Royston John, we will work through vital questions together. Specifically, we explore:
"Who are we and what are our different experiences?"
"How are we complicit in our experiences and the experiences of others?"
“What do we need to do now towards being more inclusive?”
Whether you’re a professional eager for high-quality bias training, or simply interested in increasing your self-confidence and cultural understanding, this workshop is designed for you.
What to Expect
This intensive two-day workshop (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) provides a dedicated space for story sharing on the topic of identity. Furthermore, the sessions encourage a deep examination of the issues that separate us. As a result, participants will be able to better recognise unfair prejudice and unreasonable discrimination. Ultimately, we offer highly effective, peaceful strategies for meaningful change, advocacy, and allyship.
During our time together, we will identify and celebrate the similarities and differences within the group. Consequently, you will become more aware of how our diverse identities can cause contrasting experiences of discrimination and mistreatment. We also examine how personal biases and societal programming affect the way we view ourselves. This experience aims to boost your self-confidence while working directly towards equity.
You Will Receive:
A Powerful 15+ Hour Training Experience: Engage in a variety of group tasks with national professional coach and consultant, Royston John, who brings over 20 years of experience in leadership, equality, and equity.
FREE Follow-Up Workshop Space: Receive a complimentary ticket to our Shifting Attitudes workshop, where we go into even greater depth about how to implement your learning.
A Safe, Confidential Space: Connect deeply with other warm, welcoming participants in a highly supportive environment.
Expert Guidance: Benefit from professional facilitators with decades of experience in transformational life coaching and executive career coaching.
